About Sada Spence

Sada Spence is a Jamaican-American artist and designer from NYC. She is currently a student at CUNY Hunter College, pursuing interdisciplinary study in art/design and urban studies with an interest in the use of these components in social practice. Working across mediums, she seeks to reframe people, places, and things and explore future possibilities. Sada has particular interests in design as a means to rethink the experiences of those in the black community, how artbooks/zines can be a more accessible and immediate way of experiencing and understanding art, and how the media may act as a tool to sow division.
