Joan Mitchell Center Temporarily Closed for COVID-19 Prevention

As we all work to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to extend the temporary closure of the residency program at the Joan Mitchell Center through the Summer season. This closure aligns with federal and local instructions for social distancing to protect the wellbeing of our Artists-in-Residence, staff, and local community.

Here's what you should know:

  • Public events have been suspended until further notice.
  • Our staff is working remotely and will still be reachable by email.

We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and making decisions on the status of future programming as we know more. In the meantime, we wish our whole community well and welcome any questions that you might have.
