About Celia Eberle

Celia Eberle is a white woman with her dark gray hair pulled back. She wears oval-framed glasses and a gray t-shirt. She looks at us from in front of shelves packed with books and two figurines.

Celia Eberle was born in East Texas in 1950 and grew up in the Piney Woods. Art has remained her constant pursuit as she continues to live in Texas, where she received her BFA with Honors from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1974. She has had numerous solo exhibits in Texas, and her work has been included in shows in New York, Portland, Oregon, and Chicago. She had her first solo exhibit in New York at Ulterior Gallery in 2025. In 2024, she was selected by Beverly Adams, Curator of Latin American Art, MoMA, for an Artpace residency. She had a one-person exhibit as part of the Nasher Public program at the Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, in 2022.

I reiterate or recombine these ideas to explore the universality of our experience across time.”
