Creating a Living Legacy: Ted Kurahara

Ted Kurahara

Can you share what has changed for you as a result of being a part of the CALL program?
I have a better sense of my personal history now.

Can you give us a sense of what needed to be accomplished when you started working with the CALL program?
It was sort of “blank”. Where to start, how to order things, etcetera. I had a rough calendar of events but little information.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of this work?
That it (order) can be done with help, never by myself.

What has been most difficult?
A sense of being on hold. Trying to continue my painting practice.

What do you recommend to artists who might be in the early stages of creating an inventorying system?
To get some professional help since most artists have tried to organize their work at one time or another. This has often been the case for me.
