As part of Joan Mitchell's centennial celebration, AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research & Exhibitions and the Joan Mitchell Foundation collaborated on an event held October 1 at Villa Vassilieff in Paris, France, bringing together leading scholars and curators to explore Mitchell’s relationship to the second-wave feminist movement.
