Painters & Sculptors Grant, 2017
I want my paintings to be the embodiment of the landscape itself: slabs of earth, sky and atmosphere that evoke the processes of nature: growth and decay, accumulation and erosion, creation and destruction. My goal is to push painting to new limits, beyond descriptive mandates, in search of nature itself.”
