I want my paintings to be the embodiment of the landscape itself—slabs of earth, sky, and atmosphere that evoke the processes found in nature: growth and decay, build-up and erosion, creation and destruction. My aim is to push paint to new limits, past descriptive mandates, in pursuit of nature itself.”
