From March 30 to May 29, 2026, the Joan Mitchell Center will accept applications from eligible visual artists for residencies in 2027. To be eligible to apply, artists must either be based in or native to New Orleans, or be a former grant recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation based anywhere in the United States. We invite eligible artists to join us for a campus tour to see the studios and residences and learn more about the 2027 residencies. Campus tours will be approximately an hour long, with an afternoon tour available each day.
