About Ariston Jacks

Jacks looks off to the side, he has dark skin, short black hair and a short beard.

Ariston Jacks is a native of Pine Bluff, AR, currently working in Baltimore, MD. After serving seven years in the US Navy, Jacks completed a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff and later earned a Master’s Degree in painting from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Ariston has a national exhibition record and was recently featured in PRIZM Art Fair during Art Basel, Miami. His works have been collected by many state, corporate, and private collections, including the Mosaic Templars Museum Collection, African American Museum of Dallas, Southeast Arkansas Arts and Science Center Museum, and Butler Center Collection.

In Spring/Summer 2023, Jacks is participating in a virtual residency with the Joan Mitchell Center, provided to deferred artists to accommodate unique circumstances created by the pandemic.
