Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, Ariana oversees the maintenance and assessment of the Joan Mitchell Center’s property and operational systems. Ariana has led the CubaNOLA Arts Collective, a New Orleans based arts organization since 1999, exploring the performance cultures of Cuba, New Orleans, Louisiana, the Caribbean and Latin America. She has also owned a property management and cleaning company since 2009. Previously, Ariana worked as the Finance Manager at the Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane University from 2020 to 2022. From 2007-2012, she was the Internet and Digital Content Director for WWOZ 90.7 FM, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage radio station, where she founded WWOZ’s award-winning “Takin’ It to the Streets” program with weekly online coverage of New Orleans second line parades and Black Masking Indian gatherings. Additionally, Ariana coordinated the Performing Americas program for the National Performance Network from 2003-2005.
