About Brandon Felix

Brandon Felix is a bald Black man with a trimmed beard, and he wears a gray t-shirt. The corners of his mouth lift and he squints slightly as he tips his head to our right. Rows of seats zoom appear to descend steeply to an open-air theater, which is nestled in jutting boulders and scrubby growth on rolling mountains in the distance.

Brandon Felix was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, where he grew up in the Calliope Projects, located in the 3rd Ward, uptown New Orleans. He began drawing when he was four and developed a passion for it. He was placed in gifted art classes in middle school, where he started to realize that art is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. After Hurricane Katrina, he attended the Art Institute of Atlanta for a year until his first child was born. He has five beautiful, smart, and talented children who also love to draw. Felix began painting in 2015 and did pop-up events to support his family. He then became a Jackson Square artist and full-time artist in 2016. Since then, he has gone on to do many festivals and sell art to people all over the world.
